MMH holds a special place in our work activities at INL. It is a broad field, encompasses every craft and profession, has almost no code requirements and is often viewed as routine, simple and low risk. In June this year, INL hosted a complex first, a working group focused on the unique risk of Mechanical Material Handling (MMH). 12 National Labs and 18 entities came to learn more about MMH and to grow their programs in an arena that presents far more risk than many recognize.
To further this effort, INL will be holding a series of 1-day working groups to review best practice, lessons learned, training program improvements, and efforts to upgrade GDE-728 into a stronger document we can all use.
Please plan on joining us for an opportunity to interact, share and solve problems around MMH.
